According to a recent statistic on the internet, the number of people who like others help them make decisions occupies 69 percent of all the asked people, and undoubtedly has the tendency of increasing. It shows that more people prefer to make a choice with other’s’ help rather than by themselves. That means people now are tending to be helped when they are in trouble. Considerable though the advantage that making decisions oneself result in are, they can not compete with the benefits that making choices with others’ help brings about, when team spirit is taken into consideration, from my point of view.
In the first place, when people need to make some decisions or make their opinions, they had better work with their friends or colleagues. There is an advantage of working with others. They can gain a lot of experience from that. For example, when I play basketball with my teammates, as a point guard, I need to decide to pass to which one with their locomotion and shout. By doing that, we a have deep understanding. So I can usually do no-look pass in the games. So we should often work out our problems with our friends. That will improve our friendship with others. Besides, another advantage of choosing something with colleagues is that we can make our communicating skills become more skilled, which means we should talk our troubles with others. Such as attending friends’ parties. For lots friends are there, people can communicate with others and attain some advices for how to make their decisions. That gives us some suggestions that we people can get much benefit from others. And we should often express ourselves to our friends, which we can get a lot of benefits from.
In addition, making choices with others’ help can reduce our stress is another unforgettable factor when we talk about the benefits of the teamwork. Provided people can work together to solve a task. They can have many ideas to use and many ways to carry out. For instance, many international companies have their own board of directors. When the company comes across some problems, they will have a meeting and discuss what to do to overcome the risk and choose the best plan. So they can maximum their profits. That tells us teamwork can reduce people’s pressure and we are able to improve our team spirit for the future success.
When people enjoy the benefit of making decisions with others’ help, isn’t it necessary that they give some consideration to the disadvantages of making choices by oneself? As everybody may see that people make choices by themselves cannot consider all the aspects of the problem. Take me as an example, I always think that I can achieve the goal without others’ help, so I usually work as what I like. That often results in failure. I can say that without colleagues’ help people cannot finish a task perfectly. Considering all the factors above, we can safely come to the conclusion that people make decisions with others’ help is better than by themselves.

Is it more important to keep old friend??
Is it more important to keep old friends? My friend asked me suddenly. I considered this question for a while and dicided to write this journal.
From my point of view, making new friends is less important than keeping old friends. There are many contributing causes for this phenomenon. First, old friends can understand us easily and well. There is a good evidence to show that people are willing to spend more time with their old friends than the new ones. People are familiar with old friends, and they have a relaxing atmosphere with their old friends. Communicating with old friends is more easily than talking with new friends. I believe without a shadow of doubt. Only talking with my old friends I can feel much more relaxed, we often talk about our daily life and some jokes, giving some advice to each other. It is my old friends that help me to make the decision that suggesting me begin my college life in America. By doing so, we people will have less pressure and more fun. So they couldn’t feel tired or be lack of energy.
In addition, as everybody may see that old friends may do their best to help their friends, which new friends may not do. Because they have confidence in each others, old friends can risk their lives to assist others in finishing a mission. Just like the old battle companion. They are loyal to their friends and are desperate to help their companions. For they have shared their burden and happiness with each other. So, old friends are more reliable than new friends. As Chinese saying, one should rely on their friends instead of their parents when they stay far away from home. Maybe making new friends can be helpful in some way, but keeping old friends is more helpful to people, such as hunting new jobs, solving social problems or other affairs. By doing so, people can live an easy life. Supposing one person is lack of money, but his parents are not convenient to give money to him. What should he do? Only his old friends can lend him money without thinking. Considering keeping old friends is important.
Last but not least, making new friends can be useful to people. When people make new friends, they have to think about what they have to say and what they cannot say. That may be a practice for their skill of communication. More friends do people make, more skillful they will be. Besides, new friends can be many different kinds of people with many diverse jobs. When talking with these people, we can gain a lot of information and experience which we have never heard of. That’s interesting and amazing. People can become knowledgeable and experienced with communicating with many new friends.

OUTLINE FOR RESEARCH PAPER
Thesis statement:
If a specie was artificially introduced to one area that it has never been existed before, and has the capacity to develop into a certain number without human intervention so that becomes a threat to the local biological diversity, this is a specie that what we called invasive specie. Whether a invasive specie will do good or bad to our planet is always a debatable issue. In my opinion, no matter what advantage it can bring to us, we should consider the serious consequences of biological invasive.
The current situation of biological invasion.
According to statistics, United States loses 150 billion U.S. dollars each year due to biological invasion and the invasive caused direct economic losses is as high as 57.4 billion yuan a year to chinese forestry industry. The invasion of alien species make a great impact on to the socio-economic,ecological environment and human health.
biological invasion would lead to a serious economic losses.
example: Emerald Ash Borer and glabripennis
Emerald ash borer (EAB), Agrilus planipennis Fairmaire, is an exotic beetle that was discovered in southeastern Michigan near Detroit in the summer of 2002. The adult beetles nibble on ash foliage but cause little damage. The larvae (the immature stage) feed on the inner bark of ash trees, disrupting the tree's ability to transport water and nutrients. Emerald ash borer probably arrived in the United States on solid wood packing material carried in cargo ships or airplanes originating in its native Asia. Emerald ash borer is also established in Windsor, Ontario, was found in Ohio in 2003, northern Indiana in 2004, northern Illinois and Maryland in 2006, western Pennsylvania and West Virginia in 2007, Wisconsin, Missouri and Virginia in summer 2008, and Minnesota and New York in the spring of 2009. Since its discovery, EAB has:
* Killed tens of millions of ash trees in southeastern Michigan alone, with tens of millions more lost in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Quebec, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
* Caused regulatory agencies and the USDA to enforce quarantines (Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, New York, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Quebec, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin) and fines to prevent potentially infested ash trees, logs or hardwood firewood from moving out of areas where EAB occurs.
* Cost municipalities, property owners, nursery operators and forest products industries tens of millions of dollars.
3.biological invasion would make a severe ecological damage and biological contamination.
example:Water hyacinth in china
Biological invasion will have a big impact on human health.
example:SARS
Many of the most feared human diseases are invasive species, including smallpox, HIV/AIDS, and “bird flu.” In the U.S., human and monetary cost from non-indigenous diseases has been especially high for influenza and AIDS. Other significant non-indigenous diseases include syphilis and cholera. In the U.S., there are currently about 53,000 cases of syphilis reported each year, and the cost just to treat newborn children (who contract the disease from infected mothers) was estimated to be over $18 million. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) reports that about 36,000 Americans die from influenza and related secondary infections each year.
5. Technical Measures to Combat Biological Invasions
A.clear all the species
B.Use comprehensive ecological assessment and monitoring to prevent the invasion of exotic species
C.chemical methods

Today I really want to write a dairy about my dear friend, snow.
Snow is a kind girl with warm smile. She treats everybody’s business as her own thing and always try her best to help others. What is more, the personality I admire her most is that she is really brave and really helpful.
There are two connected dining halls in LAR and Allen, usually we can swipe our I-card in LAR but get into Allen because LAR’s dining hall seldom open. However, one day LAR’s dining hall was opened, after we swiped our cards we were not able to get into Allen’s dining hall. The chief in LAR was really atrocious and yield at us. I was a little bit confused and do not know what to do. Snow was standing there, listened to the chief carefully and than answered him convincingly:”We suppose to go to Allen’s dining hall and I can go to Allen’s dining hall from here everyday. If we can not go to Allen from here, you should stop us in the first place and should put a sign in front the door.” The chief obviously did not realize Snow would say that and was shocked. Luckily, the chief was convinced and we can finally go to the right dining hall. I know if I was there myself I would definetly have vega food that day.(LAR dining hall is for vegetarian)
Here is another thing. I got a cold recently and the limit knowledge made me do not know what drug to eat. I was so sick and called my dear friend snow. She was at graiger with a boy she likes. This a not an easy chance for her and her Mr.right but she said”I will be right there” and came into my sight within 10 minutes. She took me all kinds of medicines she could get and boiled me some hot water. Snow’s parent are both doctors and she herself also really good at it. So I was getting better right after had her drugs. And after I realized I just ruined her date, she just smiled and said”nothing is more important than you my dear friend.” Isn’t it a moving sentence?
Life is moving, I know I gonna meet lots of people in my life and lots of them gonna become just pass-by people, but I am so sure Snow would not be one of them and our friendship would exist forever.

Outline for C&C and C&E
C&C
Thesis statement:
Living on campus or off campus is always a hard decision for freshman to make, so it is necessary for us to make a comparision to see what is the best for us.
Topic sentences:
a.The difference of daily life is always the thing we concern about in the first place.
Detail: on campus: more expensive ; convenient cafeteria ; safer
off campus: cheaper ; cook by oneself -->self independence; could be more dangerous.
b.From the perspective of socializing, living on campus or living off campus makes a lot difference.
Detail: on campus: talking to people all over the world and making more friend; have more chance to
get involved with school groups.
off campus:just communicate with people from the same country or in the same house;
waste lots of time on the way home so have less time to participate activities.
c.Of course for some reason living on or off campus both are good choices.
Detail: Both good for study(library lobby or own room); both a challenge for international
students(living with native american or living as a native american)
C&E
Thesis statement:
It will lead to a very bad result if we eat irregularly.
Supporting TS1:
Short of physiological energy is an obvious kickback.
Supporting details: 1 Lack of enough nutrition for the day
2 Lead to some diseases: Tiredness/ Dizziness/ Gastritis
Supporting TS2:
Though few people ever notice, there will be a psychological effect if we do not eat regularly.
Supporting details: 1 Bad memory due to lack of vitamin
2 Change in mental behavior (stressed out)

I’ve just had two horrible weeks... I call them horrible because I was really busy. But still, I had a lot of fun these two weeks.
In 2009, Oct. 3rd is a traditional festival of china called the mid-autumn festival. In that day, people in china usually eat moon cakes and appreciate the beautiful full moon. This is the first moon festival I ever have without my parents and the mid-autumn festival should be a big party with all relatives and friends. It is kind of a great news for me that the CSSA(chinese students association) going to hold a big gala to gather all the chinese students to celebrate this festival together. In order to enrich my spare time I signed up to join the audition of the gala. Without any preparation, my friend Vicky and I went to the audition at gallop. Luckily, our beautiful voices(^-^)made the judges really happy so we became part of the show.
The thing happend next was way farer than our imagination. The rehearsal took us almost 4 hours a day. We rarely had time to study and all we can do was sitting on the floor and made the full use every single moment. The mid term was around the corner and we really nervous about our grade. On the one hand, we wanted to make it a great show. On the other hand, we can not get a bad grade in our first mid term. After a long time of consideration, some of the people just quit this group to focus on their study. Vicky and I were confused what should we do. I called my mom and asked her about this whole thing. She was one hundred percent supporting me to prepare for the gala and for the mid term because she thought it was a great opportunity for me to learn about the balance the daily activities and study issues. I thought she was right, I have to challenge myself and then to know what I can do.
Things turned out to be fine. My gala show was a huge success and my mid term was good. And what makes me surprise is that I did not feel any homesick at that period because I had full fill all my time with works.
Though my parents were not around me, I should say this is the best mid-autumn festival that I ever had.
