My journal to shandong

Here is another journal of mine...
This winter vacation, I visited my hometown, Shandong province in china. This is the place where my daddy grew up. Before we got there my dad told me a lot about his childhood. Like the food he used to love and all the traditional customs his family had. I was very curious did not know what would this big family like since I had never visit there before.

I promise I have never seen that much relatives before. I just had no idea that much people are related to me. They smiled and talked to me like we were friends for ages. Oh jesus I had just seen them exactly that moment! I have to be honest that I was scared at that time. Everything seemed over-whelming and everything was just not under my control. I just like a robot at that time, they took me there I would go there; they asked me questions I just answered them. I mean, I supposed to know who they are in the first place and then came to know them and finally we can talk like friends or close relatives whatever. I just felt terrible!

One day everything just changed. Since I can not adjust myself to the best condition, I got a cold after I stayed there for a week. I can not move, all I can do was just stay on the bed and enjoy the bored day. The thing I did not expect happend. My relatives come to see me everyday and took lots of fun stuff. Like a book or a video game. My little cousin even bring me a teddy bear to make me happy. I was moved so much by them. In my mind, though we are so called “relatives”, we had nothing in common and had no same experiences not suppose to be close like this. lying on the bed, I had no idea what to say. I just smiled to them and can not stop saying thank you. All of a sudden, I understood one thing: The thing my daddy really enjoy was not the food or the game he used to have. It is a word “family” that made him wanted to go home that much.

Thanks to this trip, I got to know the sense of big family and got to know what a true big family should look like. If I have a chance, I would love to go back there!

my journal

My journal...wow...At this moment, all I can think about is a interesting trip 2 years ago. Let me think about it for a while...

I was 17 years old, I traveled to Hongkong by myself and really had lots of fun traveling alone. I can still remember that was a sunny day when I arrived at Hongkong airport. Basically, I knew nothing about hongkong at that time except the stuff there is cheaper. Okay, the first thing I did was take a free map and started to check the subway station. Luckily I found the station and got to my hotel quickly.

Actually I can’t really remember what I did in Hongkong, just shopping from this street to that mall. But I do remember something that happend to me. People there are really friendly and helpful. Though they use chinese characters but the way they speak them is totally different from me, so the communication became a big problem. when I had to ask for my way I will have to try to speak mandarin at first and then try English. This can work out 90% of the time but sometimes I still can’t get my answer. When this happend, the warm-hearted Hongkong people always try their best to help me some even gave me a ride to my destination. Thanks to them, my life in Hongkong became more and more colorful.

And also, the natural environment there impressed me a lot. Though Hongkong is a tiny place, the percent of green plant can be higher than 90%. The sky there is always blue and the street is always clean and pretty. No passengers on the bus would eat or drink. It is like an invisible god ruled everything that no one can obey without his permission. But we all know, there is not a god but a responsibility that has covered the whole society.

Wow...I just miss the days in Hongkong! The people, the food, the subway, the shopping mall, the college... Anyway I do think it is a great place to have a 2-week trip. Considering the weather there, I dont think it will be a good idea to live there. The winter vacation is around the corner, I wish I can visit there again on my way home. Hope I can make it^^. Does any of you guys want to go with me??
